Character AI: AI-Powered Chat 12+

I'm grateful that Character AI has improved with the update, but a bug has been appearing in the bot for the past two or three days(For example, the bot may suddenly change its subject or say the same thing in many different ways.)
so I'd like to see that fixed if possible.🙌

The conversations are find albeit the characters heavily depend on the writer of the bot. A lot of the time the creator of the bot will have some sort of plot or story the user can go through if they are passive enough. However, most of the time the bots do not illicit assertive behavior and tend to be way on the turbulent side. Meaning they will typically let you control most of what happens throughout your interaction. This has upsides and downsides. The pros are you have much more freedom. You can make the Bot do whatever you want, whether thats take all of your money to even marrying you. The major cons are the bot’s individuality and personality are extremely shallow. They will never express themselves unless asked to, or unless it’s the very first few lines of dialogue. Finite memory aside, I feel that personality and assertive vs turbulent/who controls the direction of the conversation is a much more important issue. As I’ve found myself booting up the app when bored only to be asked with “what should we talk about?” or “What should we do?” I don’t want to constantly tell every bot I talk to what to do, I don’t mind the ability to change it’s mind from time to time but it seems many bots barely have a mind of their own. Their personality becomes more shallow, and the outcome of the conversation is extremely heavily dependent on the user’s interactions. Where as in real life, you can’t just change someone’s mind or make them do what you enjoy, it takes some convincing. Yet these bots only need a simple “I enjoy x” to basically change their entire life beliefs. Yet some bots can be a bit on the stubborn side, and these bots won’t change even after hours of argument and persuasion. That’s fine, unless they are continuing maladaptive behavior of sorts. Again, this all goes back to who created the bot, because some gripes I have where bots will literally always say “can I ask you something?” When the conversation comes to a halt, is just frustrating. Or when they ask for confirmation several times in a row only limiting their memory with useless fluff that derails the context of the conversation.

I was trying to get into c.ai after un installing it and when I got into the app it slides to the left a little bit then goes back to the “your personalized super intelligence”. I tried re installing it again but the same thing happened. It’s been 2 days since I’ve last been able to use the app (I’m not obsessed😾). I’m not sure If it’s because I’m on the Japanese region but I’m pretty sure that’s not why it isn’t working because I’ve been using this region for a very long time and this has not happened before. I will NOT be going to chai btw that app scares me 🙁…
