Cubasis LE 3 4+

Solid State LogicのSSL2を使いたかったが、Cubasis Le3には未対応。
諦めてアンインストールしました。
SSL2も使用できるように改善していただけたら間違いなくCubasis3を導入するのだが期待するだけ無駄かもしれないな。

I want to use the SSL2 audio interface, but Cubasis Le3 is not supported. I wanted to use it, but gave up and uninstalled it. I would definitely introduce Cubasis3 if I could improve it to use SSL2, but it might be useless as I expected.

I connected Solid State Logic SSL2 to the iPad Pro that launched Cubasis Le3, but the demo mode was not released. If you can attach an image of our screenshot screen, I think that you can understand more concretely... SSL2 is powered by USB2.0, so it is not a device malfunction. I think it's not compatible with Cubasis Le3. In fact, it was recognized and used by GarageBand. However, it doesn't make sense because I don't want to use GrageBand. I wanted to use it for recording a grand piano, but I'm sorry I couldn't use it. I don't understand the Cubasis forum due to language barriers, but I'll try to post about this later.

Cubasis Le3 demo mode was irreversible no matter how I tried after connecting Solid State Logic SSL2.
I will ask the developer a question. If Cubasis Le3 doesn't recognize SSL2, I wonder if SSL2 is not recognized on Cubasis3 even if I purchase and install the paid version of Cubasis3.
Or is the full version of Cubasis3 different from LE and can I use SSL2 as well?
I can not judge because there is no description on your support page.
If SSL2 is also available in the paid full version, I will buy the paid version without hesitation.
What is scary for me is the fact that after the purchase, the device is unrecognizable and unusable.
I'm losing my income because of the coronavirus, so I don't want to waste money.
If you say that the full version also works with SSL2, I'll buy it right away.
I'm Japanese, so I'm sorry for my low level English.

Report to Dear Lars and all users of Solid State Logic SSL2. SSL2 can be used with the full version Cubasis3 (No Cubasis LE3). SSL2 could not release demo mode of Cubasis LE3. However, I recognized that there was no problem with Cubasis3. I was able to achieve a grand piano recording by connecting a condenser microphone with 48v. I was relieved because this was a challenge without confirmation. If you want to record live music using Cubasis3 and SSL2, please try it. However, it can only handle up to 96khz. That must be tolerated. From the perspective of building a portable recording system, it will be enough.

Updated feedback (13-08-2020) Dear Masayuki, Cubasis LE runs in demo mode, until being unlocked via a supported/bundled device. As of yet, Cubasis LE is not bundled with the Solid State Logic SSL2. Our full Cubasis app version does not run in a demo mode, and fully supports class compliant audio and MIDI devices. Please check with SSL if their device can run with iOS devices such as the iPhone and/or iPad. If this is the case, it normally should work fine with Cubasis. Hope that helps! Best wishes, Lars

Hi Jet-photo, Thank you for your updated review and rating. Cubasis LE 3 is bundled with a wide range of hardware devices, which can be used to unlock the app from demo mode. Please find the list of supported devices on our Cubasis LE website at: https://new.steinberg.net/cubasis/le/. As of yet, SSL does not belong to our Cubasis LE partners, and therefore the device will not work to unlock the app from demo mode. However, you can might give the demo mode a try, to check out if Cubasis can be used with the device in general. If this is the case, the full Cubasis version might be the app of choice for you. LE版から、Full版にアップグレードで使用

取り敢えず1曲下記の感じで作ってみました。

Audio5(vocal,guitar)、Midi9(bass,synth,drum)で、insertにinternal effectで各トラックEQ,CompギターにAUv3でTH-U、ボーカルにディレイ、コーラス、マスターにMasterStripでDSPが70%前後の使用量、デモ版やラフスケッチ作成するには充分に使える感じ。もう少しエフェクト追加したり、プラグイン使うにはフリーズしないと厳しいかな…MacとWifiでMidiの機能も初めて使用少しレイテンシーあるけど思ったより普通に使える感じ。リソースやプロジェクトファイルは、iOSのファイルでアクセス出来る領域で読み書きされるので他アプリとの連携も楽だった。

数時間触ってみたけど、今の所落ちたりしてないので普通に使える感じで結構楽しいです。

10数秒なら録音できるが、数10秒以上になると録音を止めても録音中のアイコンがクルクル回り続けて、録音が出来ない。

UR22Cのマイク1から一定の時間オーディオ録音をして、録音を中止しても永遠に録音中の状態のアイコンが周り続けて、録音が終了しない。

指示していただいた方法を試しましたが、改善しません。
色々試してみたところ、バックグラウンドでの録音ができなくなっているようです。
以前はできていました。いつかのアップデート後、できなくなったようです。

以前は1台のiPadで楽譜を見ながら演奏して録音ができていましたが、最近のアップデートで出来なくなったということですね。これでは機能ダウンです。無料APPのGarageBandではバックグラウンドで問題なく録音できます。有料のcubasisLE3 フル機能版でできないのは残念です。早期のアップデートを希望します。

(2) Close all running apps. including Cubasis LE 3. (3) Shut down the iPad.
